News: 4 days agoJones carried the ball 23 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Packers. He also caught both of his targets for eight yards.
Spin: With the Bucs' defense surprisingly shutting down Aaron Rodgers, Jones ended up being the offensive star of the afternoon as he topped the century mark in rushing yards for the third straight game. Even if Leonard Fournette (ankle) is healthy enough to suit up in Week 7 on the road against the Raiders, it's hard to imagine Jones' role shrinking significantly given his current form.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Following what was a disastrous rookie season in 2018, Jones added weight and got his career back on track with an impressive showing in 2019. After totaling 77 yards on 30 touches in 2018, Jones produced 1,003 yards and six touchdowns on 203 touches last season. Despite his second-round pedigree and superior play relative to his counterparts in the Tampa Bay backfield, Jones was limited to only 37% of the snaps and 47% of the designed runs. It's very possible we've yet to see the best of Jones, as he was drafted very young and is entering his age-23 season. However, following the offseason additions of Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy and Ke'Shawn Vaughn, Jones is not an appealing flex options. He should be on benches unless he earns clear lead duties.
