Spin: Jones will be ready to go for the Chiefs' Week 4 matchup against his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That being said, he has yet to play a snap this season and remains firmly buried on Kansas City's depth chart.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jones signed with the Chiefs after four unceremonious fantasy seasons in Tampa Bay. The 2018 second-round pick peaked with a pair of top-25 fantasy campaigns in 2019 and 2020, but he took a back seat to Leonard Fournette last season and was limited to 111 touches. Despite falling out of favor in Tampa Bay, there is hope for Jones, as he's shown to be an effective rusher and is still pretty young (25). Also, he's joining an elite offense that doesn't have a proven long-term answer at running back. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the favorite for lead-back duties, but his inconsistent production and durability woes present Jones an opportunity for substantial work. He's well worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues.
