News: 6 days agoRobinson carried the ball 23 times for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Colts. He added two receptions for 14 yards.
Spin: Robinson was reportedly set to be in a timeshare with Travis Etienne, yet he earned 25 touches to Etienne's 12. Unfortunately, Robinson wasn't particularly efficient with his opportunity, though he did rip off a 37-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter. Through two games, Robinson has clearly operated as the top back in Jacksonville's backfield and has 147 total yards and three touchdowns to show for it.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Robinson has been a fantasy force during his first two NFL seasons, but the 2020 UDFA now has more roadblocks than ever before to consistent production. Robinson tore his Achilles late in the 2021 season, which puts his early 2022 availability (and effectiveness) in doubt. Even if ready to play, Robinson will, at best, be sharing the backfield with 2021 first-round pick Travis Etienne Jr. Once healthy, the 220-pound Robinson figures to contribute primarily as a rusher (he owns a career 4.55 YPC), with Etienne the bigger factor in the passing game. Robinson is likely to cap out as a low-ceiling flex option in 2022, but his recovery will need to be monitored throughout the summer.
