News: 5 days agoDaniels caught five of his six targets for 42 yards in Thursday's preseason finale against the Chargers.
Spin: Daniels received all of his targets from rookie first-round quarterback Ty Simpson. The wide receiver played 34 starting offensive snaps before retiring for the preseason. The rookie sixth-rounder's chance of making the Rams' 53-man roster will be a close call, but there is a good chance he will either beat out Xavier Smith for the spot or the Rams will keep seven wide receivers. If Daniels is waived during Sunday's cutdown day, he will likely be claimed by another franchise. However, if Daniels is waived and not claimed, he will likely end up as one of the primary depth options on the Rams' practice squad throughout the 2026 season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Daniels was selected by the Rams in the sixth round of April's draft. It helped that he played in 68 games across six seasons at Liberty, LSU and Miami, but Daniels ranked third in this WR rookie class in receiving yards (2,991) and second in TD receptions (28) for his career. His overall efficiency was good, though he failed to emerge as anything more than a secondary target once he left Liberty. Daniels will battle for a roster spot and is no more than a dynasty stash.
