News: 1 day agoArroyo secured his only target for a 24-yard reception in the Seahawks' 9-9 preseason tie with the Chiefs on Friday.
Spin: The second-year tight end had recorded a 36-yard touchdown grab in Sunday's exhibition against the Titans, and Arroyo followed that up with another big play Friday on his 24-yard grab during Seattle's second possession. Arroyo is expected to operate as the No. 2 pass-catching option at tight end behind AJ Barner, but veteran Eric Saubert is expected to see his fair share of snaps as well thanks to his blocking prowess.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Arroyo is eyeing a Year 2 breakout after an underwhelming rookie campaign in which he played a clear second fiddle to A.J. Barner. The 2025 second-round pick was limited to 39% of the offensive snaps during the 13 games he was active. He cleared three targets in a game only once (five in Week 7) and his lone touchdown came on one of just two targets in Week 9. Arroyo was effective as a vertical target at the collegiate level, so he remains an intriguing dynasty hold, but the 23-year-old has a tough path to short-term fantasy relevance while stuck behind Barner in Seattle's low-pass-volume offense.
