Spin: Tyson, the eighth overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, injured his hamstring in August, but now those who held onto to the highly-touted rookie during his absence a" or recently added him to their roster a" will going forward have a player with a high ceiling to consider for fantasy lineups. Given the long layoff, the Saints could choose to proceed deliberately with Tyson in his NFL regular-season debut, but as the season rolls along, the Arizona State product should yield dividends working alongside top pass-catcher Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele, who had been working as the team's WR2 in Tyson's absence.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tyson was selected by the Saints with the No. 8 overall pick of April's draft. He is a versatile receiver with decent size who led this rookie class with a 35% target share during the nine weeks he was active in 2025. Injuries cost him time during all four collegiate seasons, but he still managed a 158-2,282-22 receiving line in 33 games, posting a strong 2.73 YPRR along the way (third best in this class). Tyson suffered a hamstring injury in August and will miss a month or two of the regular season prior to taking over as the Saints' No. 2 receiver behind Chris Olave. Once healthy, Tyson has a path to a substantial role in an ascending offense led by second-year QB Tyler Shough and could find himself on the WR3 radar. Of course, with the injury, he's only worth a late flier.
