News: 2 days agoFitzgerald hauled in all eight of his targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 37-34 win over Seattle.
Spin: Fitzgerald saw a season-high in targets and converted all of them into receptions. The future Hall of Famer has yet to score a touchdown in 2020, which limits his already low fantasy utility. At 37 years old, Fitzgerald is still a reliable run blocker and secure short-yardage receiver, which is far more valuable to the Cardinals than it is to fantasy managers in standard formats. Fitzgerald will return from Arizona's upcoming bye to face the Dolphins in Week 9.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Fitzgerald is back for his 17th NFL season. Arizona's primary slot receiver put together another solid season in 2019, ranking 17th in the league in receptions (75), while not dropping a single one of his 108 targets. No longer a downfield threat, Fitzgerald has ranked in the 17th percentile or lower in YPR in each of the past five seasons and hasn't cleared six touchdowns since 2015. Fitzgerald's role limited him to just one weekly finish better than 19th last season (ninth in Week 1). Fitzgerald is entering his age-37 season and his targets will take another hit with DeAndre Hopkins now in the fold. Fitzgerald has a very low ceiling and is only an option in very deep PPR leagues.
