Source: Dak won't practice much before Sunday

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is likely to play Sunday against the Eagles without any meaningful practice snaps because of his sprained right shoulder, a source tells ESPN's Todd Archer.

He was limited along with G Brandon Brooks (calf), DT Fletcher Cox (triceps), CB Ronald Darby (hip flexor) and RB Jordan Howard (shoulder). With just two healthy receivers at the moment — Robert Davis and Greg Ward — it's a situation worth monitoring. WR Nelson Agholor (knee), DE Derek Barnett (ankle), T Lane Johnson (ankle) did not practice for a second straight day.

Eagles LB Grugier-Hill needs surgery, put on IR

Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, who returned to action after missing one game due to a concussion, needs surgery for a lower lumbar disc herniation and has been put on IR.

Eagles place LB Kamu Grugier-Hill on injured reserve with a lower lumbar disc herniation that required surgery. "Following Sunday's game at Washington, Kamu Grugier-Hill reported back discomfort to team physicians," the team said in a statement. "On Monday afternoon, an MRI confirmed a lower lumbar disc herniation. After consulting with the team's spine surgeon, the decision was made to proceed with surgery."
