For the Broncos Wednesday, TE Noah Fant (ankle) looked more comfortable moving around in practice than he did Friday. Also, WR KJ Hamler (hamstring) was practicing and RB Melvin Gordon, who was held out of practice Friday with strep throat, was back in practice.

Broncos kicker Brandon McManus was named the AFC's special teams Player of the Week for his six field goals in the Broncos' win over the New England Patriots. It is the second time this season McManus has won the award -- he also won it after the Broncos' Oct. 1 win over the Jets. McManus made four field goals of at least 44 yards Sunday, including two of more than 50 yards, to go with 20- and 27-yard efforts. His 56-yarder against the Patriots is the second-longest FG in the league this season.

Timmy Jernigan, who the Broncos released Tuesday, played 10 snaps in Sunday's win over the New England Patriots. But Monday Broncos coach Vic Fangio had said both DE DeMarcus Walker and DE Dre'Mont Jones, who are on injured reserve at the moment, have a chance to play Sunday against the Chargers. So the Broncos will need roster spots for one, or both, of them if they are indeed ready to play. Cornerback A.J. Bouye, also on injured reserve right now, is close to returning as well.

More from Broncos' win in New England: --Phillip Lindsay had five carries for 9 yards or more in the game by himself and that was the most the Broncos have had of 9 yards or more, overall, in any game this season. --Also in the run game, however, the Broncos three running backs (Lindsay, Melvin Gordon and Royce Freeman) have now had 23 percent of their carries go for no gain or negative yardage. Broncos have faced some difficult defensive fronts, but they've been spotty at point of attack.

After going through the game a couple more times, some items from Broncos' win in N.E.: --Trouble still found in 3 WR with two interceptions and sack allowed Sunday. Season totals for all QBs in three-wide is 11 sacks allowed, 8 interceptions and 2 lost fumbles. Broncos have scored three TDs from three-wide sets this season. --Fangio's pressure packages worked with three sacks and an interception in 16 snaps against the Patriots w/ five or more rushers, including scrambles and penalty snaps.

Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Monday WR KJ Hamler (hamstring), TE Noah Fant (ankle) and CB A.J. Bouye (shoulder) all have a chance to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Bouye hasn't played since suffering his injury in the season opener and the Broncos will certainly need any and all available defensive backs against the Chiefs.

And anything that happens otherwise will happen when it happens.'' Asked what he told the players after practice: “I told them there was a report that they had another positive test.
