News: 19 hours agoThe Dolphins claimed Joly off waivers from the Broncos on Monday.
Spin: Joly was a fifth-round selection of the Broncos in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he did not crack Denver's 53-man roster for the upcoming regular season. He'll get a fresh start in Miami, and if Will Kacmarek (undisclosed) misses time, then Joly would slot in as the team's TE3 behind Greg Dulcich and Seydou Traore.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Joly was selected by the Broncos in the fifth round of April's draft, but was later waived and claimed by Miami. Joly is a highly productive receiving tight end who ranked near the top of this rookie TE class in all receiving counting stats (166-1,978-15) and target share (17%) during 50 collegiate games at UConn and NC State. He's not much of a blocker, but he could stretch the seam as a move tight end in the pros. Joly may one day emerge as a receiving option, but it's going to take some time.
