ESPN Fantasy Projection: Kuemper was a finalist for the Vezina Trophy in his first season with the Kings back in 2024-25. This past season, everything fell apart. Kuemper went 19-14-15 in 50 games, along with a 2.78 GAA and .891 save percentage. For comparison's sake, he was 31-11-7 with a 2.02 GAA and .921 save percentage a year prior. By the time the playoffs rolled around, Kuemper had lost his starting job to Anton Forsberg. Neither Kuemper nor Forsberg have displayed any consistency in recent years, so it's impossible to guess which guy will pull ahead in 2026-27. The most likely event is a timeshare on a middling team, which limits the fantasy value of both men.
