ESPN Fantasy Projection: Walman had cups of coffee over the course of three seasons with the Blues, but it was a trade to Detroit in March of 2022 which changed the course for the former Providence College product. He joined the Red Wings lineup in mid-November last year, and he was a regular for the team the rest of the way, finishing with nine goals and 18 points in 63 games. After signing a new three-year, $10.2 million contract with Detroit in February, Walman will be locked into a regular role in 2023-24, giving him solid potential as a depth defenseman for fantasy managers in 2023-24.
