Fantasy Hockey
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Maccelli was brilliant in his first full year in the league in 2022-23, leading all rookies in assists (38) while finishing second in scoring (49 points in 64 games) among first-year players, trailing only Calder Trophy winner Matty Beniers of Seattle. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie team as a result. Maccelli spent two seasons playing in Finland's top league before arriving in North America, so he had plenty of experience going up against older opposition before debuting for Arizona. His offensive output looks sustainable, particularly when you factor in Maccelli's guaranteed significant role on one of the weakest teams in the NHL. Don't forget about the 2019 fourth-round pick in the latter stages of your fantasy draft.
