ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hughes didn't exactly light up the scoresheet in his sophomore season, but his 31 points in 56 games suggest a nice upward trend of development. In addition, the 2019 No. 1 overall pick managed to improve his minus-26 rating as a rookie to minus-3 while receiving way more ice time (19:04 on average opposed to 15:52 in 2019-20). New Jersey still doesn't boast a formidable forward corps, but Hughes is penciled in as the team's top center at even strength and on the power play, so he's sure to get all the action he can handle in his age-20 season. His floor should look something like 45 points, with 50-plus a plausible outcome for the Florida native.
