News: 5 days agoQuinn drew praise from head coach Lindy Ruff on Wednesday ahead of training camp, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
Spin: Quinn appeared in all 82 regular-season games last year and put together a career-best performance with 20 goals, 31 assists, 52 hits, 25 blocked shots and 18 PIM while averaging 15:39 of ice time. Fairburn speculates that Quinn's success could put him in the mix for a top-line role this year, but he displayed chemistry with Ryan McLeod last season and could operate as a middle-six option. Regardless of which line Quinn begins the year on, he should have opportunities to build upon his momentum during the 2026-27 campaign.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: He didn't get talked about much, but Quinn was a huge part of Buffalo's turnaround. Appearing in all 82 games for the first time, Quinn set new high-water marks in goals (20), assists (31), points (51), plus/minus (plus-4), shots on goal (191), average time on ice (15:39), and hits (52). He also managed double-digit power-play points (11) for a second straight year. Quinn was a former 50-goal scorer back in his OHL days, and while he's not going to reach that level at the NHL, there's enough all-around juice here to make him a sneaky late-round fantasy play.
