News: 2 days agoDanforth (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Spin: Danforth's move to IR allowed the Sabres to activate Sam Carrick (middle body) ahead of Thursday's game versus the Ducks. Danforth remains without a clear timeline to return to action. He will miss his fourth consecutive game Thursday and will be eligible to return whenever he's ready, as long as he doesn't later end up on long-term injured reserve.
