News: 3 days agoClark logged 12 points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3PT, 4-4 FT), four assists, two rebounds and one steal over 13 minutes during the Fever's 105-57 preseason win over the Nigeria National Team on Saturday.
Spin: Clark and the rest of the Fever starters saw less than 15 minutes of action during Saturday's preseason finale, but the third-year guard still finished with double-digit points and as the team's third-leading scorer behind Kelsey Mitchell (17 points) and Damiris Dantas (16 points). Indiana's regular season kicks off Saturday against Dallas, and Clark is looking to bounce back from a 2025 campaign in which she was limited to just 13 regular-season games due to groin and ankle injuries.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Groin and ankle injuries ruined Clark's 2025 campaign, limiting her to just 13 appearances. There was optimism that she'd be able to return for the stretch run, but the ankle problem Clark picked up during her recovery from the groin issue may have caused the Fever to err on the side of caution and shut down their franchise centerpiece ahead of the postseason. Although Clark's lack of availability may have been disappointing, her results on the court in her second season were superb. The 24-year-old superstar averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 31.1 minutes per game a year ago, which placed her in the top five in fantasy points per game, and Clark is entering the new year with a clean bill of health after representing the United States in the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
