ESPN Fantasy Projection: Mondesi's game is one of extremes. He had the majors' second-most stolen bases (43) despite appearing in only 102 games but also the second-highest swinging strike rate (22%). A separated shoulder that resulted from a diving play in mid-July and required offseason surgery ruined what was an otherwise productive campaign from a rotisserie perspective, and it underscored how much variance is involved in his game. A fully healthy Mondesi is capable of 60-plus steals -- that alone propelling him into the top 25 in rotisserie formats -- with double-digit power, albeit with a so-so batting average. However, his free-swinging nature leaves him susceptible to slumps, and he does have a troubling injury history at a young age. Mondesi's potential makes him well worth selection within the first 100 picks of your rotisserie draft, but he's not someone to reach for -- and in points-based leagues, he's someone better left to the late rounds because of his questionable approach at the plate.
