Kevin Durant scores 22 in first half as Thunder rip Nuggets
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kevin Durant scored 22 of his 36 points in the first half to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 109-81 preseason victory over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.
The Thunder, in their first game after playing earlier this month in Turkey and England, raced to a quick double-digit lead in the first half and weren't challenged in the second half.
With his fiancee, Minnesota Lynx guard Monica Wright, watching from courtside, Durant hit four 3-pointers in the first four minutes of the second half. He finished 13 of 20 from the field and added six rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes.
Serge Ibaka added 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists and Thabo Sefolosha scored 13 points for Oklahoma City (3-0), which played without injured starters Russell Westbrook (knee) and Kendrick Perkins (finger).
Nate Robinson and Andre Miller each scored 10 points for Denver (2-2).
