News: 1 day agoRudolph caught both of his targets for eight yards in Sunday's 25-3 win over the Panthers.
Spin: Rudolph was targeted twice in the contest, while starter Evan Engram was targeted eight times. Rudolph played on only three fewer offensive snaps than Engram, but he is the clear No. 2 in the offense. Rudolph will remain off of the fantasy radar when the Giants take on the Chiefs in Week 8.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Rudolph signed with the Giants after 10 seasons with the Vikings. The 2011 second-round pick was reduced to 3.2 targets per game last season, which was his lowest usage since his rookie season. Rudolph also missed his first game action since 2014, sitting out the final four weeks due to a foot injury. The result? A 28-334-1 receiving line and career-worst 39th-place finish in fantasy points. The 31-year-old likely has a few good years left, but he does not have a path to consistent targets with Evan Engram ahead of him on the depth chart in a New York offense that also added Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney. Rudolph is a reliable set of hands and will score the occasional TD, but he's unlikely to provide consistent TE2 numbers.
