News: 14 hours agoMcLaurin is getting a veteran rest day Friday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Spin: McLaurin returned from a hamstring injury for last week's 27-27 tie with the Giants. He was a limited participant this Thursday, listed with the hamstring injury again, but his absence Friday is apparently about maintenance/rest, not a result of any concern or setback related to his hamstring. Washington's final injury report will come out Saturday, ahead of a Monday night road matchup with San Francisco.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: McLaurin is eyeing a bounce-back campaign following a lost 2025 season in which both he (seven missed games) and quarterback Jayden Daniels (10 missed games) were sidelined for extended periods. The dud season came after Daniels helped McLaurin to a career year in 2024, which included 13 touchdowns (second most among WRs) and a seventh-place finish in fantasy points. McLaurin's target ceiling remains a concern (he's been in the 21-25% target share range each of his seven seasons), but with his quarterback healthy and his role as a vertical threat in new playcaller David Blough's offense, McLaurin is certainly poised for a rebound. The 30-year-old is best valued as a mid-to-back-end WR2.
