Spin: The veteran receiver led the Commanders in receiving yards and targets, but his efficiency left plenty to be desired. McLaurin's day would have also looked a lot different if he'd been able to keep his balance on an early fourth-quarter deep pass from Marcus Mariota on which the veteran receiver was running wide open down the right sideline. The elbow injury suffered by Jayden Daniels on the last play of the first half also didn't help McLaurin's cause, and it's possible an extended absence on the part of the star signal-caller affects the wideout's performance in coming weeks.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: McLaurin is eyeing a bounce-back campaign following a lost 2025 season in which both he (seven missed games) and quarterback Jayden Daniels (10 missed games) were sidelined for extended periods. The dud season came after Daniels helped McLaurin to a career year in 2024, which included 13 touchdowns (second most among WRs) and a seventh-place finish in fantasy points. McLaurin's target ceiling remains a concern (he's been in the 21-25% target share range each of his seven seasons), but with his quarterback healthy and his role as a vertical threat in new playcaller David Blough's offense, McLaurin is certainly poised for a rebound. The 30-year-old is best valued as a mid-to-back-end WR2.
