News: 1 day agoLamb is believed to be dealing with a "quad bruise" that is "not considered to be serious," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Spin: Lamb was deemed questionable to return to Thursday's loss to the Buccaneers after -- per the Cowboys' official website -- taking a "hit on the same quad that got hit last week," and although he briefly got back out there he was not on the field for his team's final drive. Lamb does not appear to be facing an extended absence and will have extra time to rest and recover before the Cowboys face the Packers in Week 6, but it could be a few days until the next update on his status arrives.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Lamb is eyeing a bounceback season following a 2025 campaign in which he finished 12th among receivers in fantasy PPG his worst finish since 2021. Lamb did go over 1,000 yards for the fifth season in a row, but he missed three games, led all receivers with eight drops and was unlucky in the TD department, having scored three touchdowns (6.6 expected) despite seeing 11 end zone targets. Lamb, 27, remains in his prime and he was fantasy's top-scoring receiver the last time he played a full season (2023). As long Dak Prescott is on the field with him, Lamb will be a solid fantasy WR1 with elite upside.
