News: 1 day agoSwift (hip/knee) was a full participant in Friday's practice and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Spin: With Swift progressing from a non-participant Wednesday to limited Thursday and full Friday, he appears set to lead Chicago's backfield in Week 5, especially after Kyle Monangai (toe) was ruled out and deemed week-to-week. Swift should be in line for a significant boost in snaps and touches with Monangai out of the picture against Green Bay, though Roschon Johnson will certainly be a factor, just maybe not to the extent Monangai had been out of Chicago's backfield.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Swift is entering his seventh NFL season and third with Chicago. The veteran back was busy as both a rusher and receiver en route to clearing 1,300 scrimmage yards in each of his first two seasons with the Bears. Though he found the end zone 10 times and finished 17th among backs in fantasy points per game last season, Swift deferred substantial work to Kyle Monangai and is likely to be in even more of a timeshare in 2026. Still in his prime at age 27, Swift continues to play at a high level (4.87 yards per carry last season), but his role in the Chicago offense figures to limit him to low-ceiling RB2/flex production.
