ESPN Fantasy Projection: The Lions selected Swift with the 35th pick of April's draft. Swift was terrific in Georgia's pro-style offense, producing as both a rusher (440 carries) and receiver (73 receptions) during his three seasons. His efficiency was more solid than spectacular, and he lacks some explosiveness, but he makes up for it with reliability, decent speed (4.48 40-yard dash), quickness and pass-catching prowess. Swift has three-down upside but will begin his career competing for reps with Kerryon Johnson, who figures to focus primarily on ball-carrying, with Swift busier in passing situations. That's likely to limit Swift's fantasy output, but he certainly could flirt with RB2 numbers and is worth a midround pick.
