News: 3 days agoThe Cardinals signed Wilson to a three-year, $75 million contract extension Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Spin: The sides squeezed this deal in before the start of the regular season, as Wilson had been set to enter the final year of his rookie deal. Selected in the third round of the 2023 Draft, Wilson had a true breakout season in 2025, as he operated as the Cardinals' WR1 most weeks while Marvin Harrison battled injuries throughout the campaign. Wilson responded with three 100-yard receiving games over the final eight weeks of the season and finished the year with 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns. Six of his seven scores came in the final five contests. Harrison is back healthy this season, but Wilson figures to remain a prominent piece of a passing offense that also includes All-Pro tight end Trey McBride.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: After averaging 4.3 targets and 7.6 fantasy points per game during his first 38 NFL games, Wilson broke out with Jacoby Brissett under center during the final eight games of 2025, averaging 11.0 targets and 21.2 fantasy PPG. The stretch also coincided with Marvin Harrison Jr. dealing with health issues, and it's worth noting that Wilson's receiving lines in the four games Harrison was active weren't quite as good (3-40-0, 3-61-0, 4-34-0, 3-36-0). A healthy Harrison (along with TE Trey McBride) figures to lead to a return to earth for Wilson, but the 26-year-old did enough late last season to warrant WR4/flex consideration in drafts.
