ESPN Fantasy Projection: Bourne was an unheralded UDFA signing by San Francisco back in 2017 and he has continued to improve during his five seasons in the league. Bourne took another leap forward in 2021 -- his first in New England -- setting career highs in receptions, receiving yards and fantasy points. He is extremely efficient (his 79% catch rate and 11.4 YPT ranked third and his 6.9 RAC sixth among wide receivers in 2021) and his 33rd-place fantasy finish would've been better if not for almost no goal-line work (one end zone target). As good as Bourne played, the 27-year-old seems stuck in a situational role and that is doubtful to change with Jakobi Meyers and Nelson Agholor back and DeVante Parker and Tyquan Thornton added to the mix. Bourne does not need to be drafted.
