News: 3 days agoHart (lower body) is set to participate in an intrasquad scrimmage Friday, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.

Spin: Hart ended last season with a lower-body injury after posting a disappointing 3.16 GAA and .905 save percentage in 45 games. The 24-year-old is still expected to be the Flyers' top netminder in 2022-23, though the team in front of him remains lackluster and could make picking up wins challenging for the Alberta native.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: It's easy to forget that Hart's still just 24 years old, as he's already logged at least 25 starts in four NHL seasons. He looked like a rising star after posting a 2.42 GAA and .914 save percentage across 43 appearances in 2019-20, but Hart has been one of the least effective goalies in the league over the two subsequent seasons due to a combination of injuries and poor play from both himself and his team. Hart's most recent lower-body injury kept him out for the remainder of the season after April 12, and even if he's healthy come October, he'll be backstopping a Flyers team that posted the fourth-worst record in the NHL last season. While Hart's still one of the most talented young goalies in the league, he'll be fighting an uphill battle in 2022-23.
