Fantasy Hockey
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tarasenko's decade-long run with the Blues ended in mid-February following a trade to the Rangers. He played reasonably well in both places, although his 18 goals and 50 points in 69 games is a far cry from the type of production we saw from Tarasenko in his heyday. He reportedly wanted to return to New York this offseason, but the Rangers didn't have the necessary salary cap space. Tarasenko eventually inked a one-year, $5 million deal with Ottawa in late July. It's a so-so landing spot from a fantasy perspective, as Tarasenko isn't a lock to play on the Senators' No. 1 power-play unit, something that would be essential for him to find increased production. The former 40-goal scorer is more of a floor than a ceiling play from a fantasy standpoint at this stage of his career.
