ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tkachuk suffered a broken thumb three games into last season and missed well over a month as a result. All told, he appeared in 60 games for Ottawa, managing 22 goals, 59 points (including 20 with the man advantage), 221 shots on goal and 162 hits. Tkachuk has missed significant time each of the past two seasons, but when healthy, there's virtually no winger in the league that can match his all-around production. If you are in a fantasy format which values secondary statistics such as shots, hits, and penalty minutes, Tkachuk has a real case to be a first-round selection. Even in standard leagues, Tkachuk isn't going to last very long, especially now that he's joined his brother Matthew on a loaded Florida team.
