ESPN Fantasy Projection: It would be a stretch to say Michkov suffered a sophomore slump in his second NHL season, but his production was definitely down. He managed just 20 goals and 51 points in 81 games after racking up 26 goals and 63 points in 80 games in his rookie campaign. Michkov was also a healthy scratch twice during Philadelphia's playoff run. The Russian won't be 22 years of age until December and both the team and player have a massive amount of incentive to get the 2023 No. 7 overall pick back on track. Given his talent level, Michkov is probably a worthy gamble if he is available at any sort of discount on draft day, but there's a real chance this isn't the best environment for Michkov to realize his enormous potential.
