News: 5 days agoBurrell re-signed with the Sparks on Monday.

Spin: The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but Burrell will return to the Sparks for her fifth WNBA season, all with the team. The guard is coming off a career year in which she averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.4 minutes across 28 games (one start). As things stand, Burrell is expected to remain in a key reserve role for the 2026 campaign.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Burrell has played mainly off the bench during her time in the WNBA, but she's seen her production increase in each of the last three seasons. Most recently, she averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.4 minutes per game across 28 regular-season appearances (one start) with the Sparks in 2025. She's profiled mainly as a streaming option during her four-year career, but she established a relatively high floor last year and warrants late-round consideration ahead of the 2026 campaign. The 25-year-old received a reserved qualifying offer from Los Angeles in April, so the Sparks will have exclusive negotiating rights with her, and she'll presumably remain with the team this year. While she's seen her role grow in recent years, Burrell's usage in 2026 will presumably depend on what other guards the Sparks acquire in free agency and the rookie draft.
