News: 16 hours agoThe Sky picked up their team option on Sheldon on Monday.

Spin: The Sky also picked up options for Kamilla Cardoso and Rickea Jackson. Sheldon appeared in 30 regular-season games between Connecticut and Washington in 2025, averaging 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 steals.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sheldon opened last season in a significant role for the Sun before being traded to the Mystics in exchange for Aaliyah Edwards. An ankle injury ended up ruining her campaign, costing her the final 12 games of 2025, and Sheldon's role with her new team was never quite able to become defined as a result. Overall, Sheldon averaged 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 steals in 23.6 minutes per contest across 28 regular-season games for Connecticut and two for Washington. She'll have yet another change of scenery in 2026 after being traded to the Sky for a first-round pick. Chicago's valuation on Sheldon's talent appears to be high, but she'll have to compete with Skylar Diggins, Courtney Vandersloot and DiJonai Carrington for playing time in the Sky backcourt, which makes Sheldon a somewhat risky fantasy option.
