LOS ANGELES -- Candace Parker had 18 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals in her first home game and the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Minnesota Lynx 83-61 on Tuesday night for their third straight win.
Jantel Lavender recorded her league-leading 11th double-double for Los Angeles (6-14) with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Los Angeles had a season-high 12 steals.
Los Angeles started the third quarter on a 17-7 spurt, with six points from Parker, for 56-42 lead and opened the fourth with an 18-8 burst.
Maya Moore scored 13 for Minnesota (15-5), snapping a string of 11 straight games with 20 or more points. Diana Taurasi holds the single-season record of 12. Moore had 11 of Minnesota's 21 first-quarter points, but scored just two in the second and did not attempt a shot in the third. She missed three field goals in 7 minutes of the fourth.
