SEATTLE -- Jewell Loyd scored a career-high 32 points and Breanna Stewart had 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to help the Seattle Storm beat the Phoenix Mercury 95-81 on Friday night.
Loyd was 12 of 18 from the field, highlighted by an acrobatic layup on a fast break give-and-go with Stewart for an 86-71 lead.
It was Loyd's second 30-plus game against Phoenix this season.
Sue Bird and Jenna O'Hea scored 14 points apiece for Seattle (3-4). The Storm, ranked eighth in the AP WNBA power poll, made 12 of 24 3-pointers and had 25 assists on 32 field goals.
Loyd scored 19 points in the first half on 8-of-11 shooting and the Storm had a 49-44 lead.
Penny Taylor made six 3-pointers and finished with 19 points for 10th-ranked Phoenix (2-5). Brittney Griner had 13 points and six rebounds.
