News: 1 day agoEvans secured two of nine targets for 31 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-17 overtime loss to the Browns on Sunday.

Spin: It was a nightmare of an afternoon for Evans, who repeatedly failed to connect with Tom Brady despite tying with running back Rachaad White for the second-most targets on the day. Evans saw position mate Chris Godwin (12-110-1) enjoy outstanding chemistry with Brady, and he's now recorded 54 receiving yards or fewer in three consecutive games. Evans next lines up for a matchup with a team that's given him plenty of trouble in the past, the Saints, in a Week 13 Monday night home divisional clash.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Evans is entering his ninth NFL season having proven to be one of the best and most-reliable wide receivers in the game. He has missed seven games in his career and he's never finished worse than 23rd among WRs in fantasy points. Oddly, Evans' two lowest-target seasons have come with Tom Brady under center, but the Buccaneers' offense has been so good and voluminous that Evans has still managed a pair of top-12 fantasy campaigns with the GOAT. In 2021, Evans missed a game-and-a-half, but still paced the position in routes (616) and scored 14 TDs despite ranking outside the top 20 in targets, receptions and yards. Evans is entering his age-29 season and a larger target share would be ideal, but the Tampa Bay offense is so fantasy friendly that he's still a fringe WR1.
