ESPN Fantasy Projection: The Jets selected Mims in the second round of April's draft. Mims is a long (6-foot-3, 207 pounds), perimeter receiver who helped himself with strong showings at the Senior Bowl and combine. The Baylor product is a physical and explosive vertical presence with long arms and an exceptional catch radius. He ran a 4.38 40-yard dash and class-best 6.66 three cone in Indianapolis. Separation ability and drops (20 the past three seasons) are the primary concern areas. Jamison Crowder is locked in as the Jets' slot receiver, but the team's perimeter situation is wide-open, with Mims' only legitimate competition newcomer Breshad Perriman. Mims is a fine roster stash, but it figures to take some time for him to join the weekly flex discussion.
