News: 19 hours agoHenderson is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions after missing practice Friday due to an illness.

Spin: Fellow running back Travis Etienne (foot) is also listed as questionable, but trending toward active status after logging limited practices this week. Per Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union, coach Dog Pederson indicated that Henderson would likely be inactive on game day if Etienne is available, as the newcomer "continues to grow and learn the (Jaguars') offense." With that in mind, JaMycal Hasty and Snoop Conner figure to handle change-of-pace duties Sunday, assuming Etienne suits up versus Detroit.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Henderson is entering his fourth season with the Rams. The 2019 third-round pick has seen his role progressively increase throughout his career, but his heavy 2021 usage was related directly to Cam Akers' preseason torn Achilles. During the first half of the season, Henderson was playing three-quarters of the snaps and providing RB2 fantasy production. Injuries cost him all but a few snaps in the second half of the season and he ended up working behind a healed Akers in the Super Bowl. By all accounts, Akers will be the main man in the Los Angeles backfield moving forward, leaving Henderson to situational work. The 25-year-old has some insurance appeal, but likely won't be a weekly flex option.
