ESPN Fantasy Projection: Allen enters his eighth NFL season in unfamiliar territory. The 2013 third-round pick has been targeted 758 times in his career -- and 751 of them have come from the hand of Philip Rivers. Rivers, who is now with the Colts, has helped Allen to top-13 finishes in targets, receptions, receiving yards and fantasy points in each of the past three seasons. Even with Rivers, Allen is coming off a very boom/bust fantasy campaign in which he was a top-20 WR in half of his outings, but outside the top 30 during the other half. Allen is still in his prime at age 28 and hasn't missed a game since 2016, but he hasn't scored more than six TDs in any season since 2013. The uncertainty of the Chargers' quarterback situation is a red flag, so Allen is best viewed as a WR2.
