Is Jesse Ventura crazy?

Maybe.

Is Jesse Ventura a genius?

Maybe that too.

But one thing is for sure about the former Navy SEAL, former wrestler, former Minnesota city mayor, former author and former Minnesota governor: He's never boring.

Ventura was at the ESPN campus in Bristol, Conn., on Monday to talk about his new TV series called "Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura" on truTV.

The show, which debuts Wednesday at 10 p.m., has Ventura and his producers examining possible conspiracies surrounding secret societies, global warming, alleged 9/11 cover-ups, a research center in Alaska that could be a secret government weapon and apocalyptic prophecies, to name a few.

Jesse, how did you get interested in this idea?

I've always been interested in conspiracy theories. I am fascinated by the Kennedy assassination. I know how that happened. I won't tell you. But I know exactly what happened. This is a story for another time. So because of my interest in theories, I pitched the show and we are looking into a handful of them. We look back only 10 years but there is plenty of interesting cases to look at.
