Adam Richman, Travel Channel superstar and ESPN favorite, on Wednesday hosts a new show "The Traveler's Guide to Life", a 10-part series about celebrities who share insight on the things that matter most -- love, family, travel and friends.
Richman, who already stars in the popular show "Man v. Food", is excited about this opportunity to showcase people telling their own stories about life.
"It's an amazing compilation of interviews, a great mix of people, my friends, people I admire and people I've never met who I now admire," Richman said. "This show is thoroughly entertaining and the animations are visually arresting."
The show, with interviews and pencil animation, sees people like astronaut Buzz Aldrin describing what he learned on the moon, actress Charlyne Yi talking about her joy of sleeping under the Christmas tree and Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek learning the real meaning of winning.
And then there's John Salley, former "Bad Boy" of the Detroit Pistons.
"Everyone is in their backyard trying to hit that 3-pointer like Salley would do, so people can see him as a regular person and his stories are hilarious," Richman said. "The show gives you a peek into their lives. You get to know their childhood, hometown, what their birthday is like. My role is build thematic bridges with the interviews."
The show premieres Wednesday at 10 p.m.
