Jason Terry will play Friday's game against the Orlando Magic naked. Or, at least that's what he'll feel like.
For the first time in his 13-year NBA career, Terry won't be wearing his signature headband and high socks Friday as his Dallas Mavericks take on Orlando at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
That's because Terry and comedian Bill Bellamy lost a CrossFit Relay challenge to Jameer Nelson and rapper Jadakiss in which they competed in a shuttle run, box jumps, air squats and ring rows. Had Terry and Bellamy won the competition, Nelson would've worn a headband and high socks in Friday's game.
Terry, one of sports' most superstitious athletes, could only say, "I'm going to go out and drop 30 on Jameer with no headband and no high socks."
Zings back Nelson: "I don't even know why he wears the headband. How much do you sweat just shooting threes?"
