B.J. Upton and the Rays came up with important hits while taking three of four from the White Sox.

HAPPY RAYS

The first clash of division leaders in Tropicana Field history concluded Sunday in dramatic fashion, with the Rays shocking the White Sox on Gabe Gross' game-ending home run in the 10th, which earned Tampa Bay its third straight win.

MONDAY NIGHT BASEBALL

• Yankees at Twins, 7:05 p.m. ET, ESPN
The Rays have had plenty of magic, and now they take the AL East lead to Boston on Tuesday for a three-game set at Fenway Park with the Red Sox. These Rays have found ways to win games, while in past years, they would have found a way to lose. Meanwhile, the White Sox's offense continues to sputter, and manager Ozzie Guillen was quite ticked off after Sunday's defeat. Joe Maddon, on the other hand, has to be all smiles. His team, after all, is getting key hits at just the right time.

FORWARD THINKING: MONDAY

Andy Pettitte • Yankees at Twins, 7:05 p.m. ET, ESPN: Andy Pettitte (5-5, 4.11 ERA) is coming off two nearly identical starts. He gave up eights hits and two runs over six innings while beating the Mariners, then followed it up by giving up eight hits and two runs over 6 2/3 innings to beat Baltimore. Livan Hernandez (6-2, 4.60 ERA) continues to pitch to contact. He has only four strikeouts over his past four starts, a stretch of 24 2/3 innings.

Scott Olsen • Marlins at Braves, 7:10 p.m. ET: After a strong start to the season, Scott Olsen (4-2, 3.65 ERA) has not won since May 6, going 0-1 with three no decisions. He shut out the Braves when he faced them earlier this season. Jo-Jo Reyes (2-3, 4.83 ERA) has actually had more problems at home than he has on the road. Opponents are hitting .315 against him at Turner Field, compared to .245 when he pitches on the road.

Bronson Arroyo • Reds at Phillies, 7:05 p.m. ET: Bronson Arroyo (4-4, 5.29 ERA) will try to contain Chase Utley and the Phillies' potent offense. Arroyo has done well in his limited matchups with Utley, holding him to 1-for-6 without a homer, RBI or run scored. Kyle Kendrick (4-2, 4.84 ERA) will try to slow down a hot Jay Bruce while keeping Ken Griffey Jr. from hitting homer No. 600. Griffey is 4-for-5 against Kendrick with three RBIs -- but no homers.
