SONNANSTINE TRYING TO CLOSE OUT WHITE SOX
By Mark Simon, ESPN Research
A look ahead to Monday's games: Rays at White Sox Despite what the numbers say, Andy Sonnanstine has pitched just fine since the All-Star break. He gets the ball Monday with the hopes of closing out the White Sox in the ALDS, though he'll be faced with a difficult matchup opposite Chicago's Gavin Floyd. Sonnanstine's second-half struggles, if you can call them that, can be attributed to a lack of scoring by the Rays' offense. Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon is confident he can count on him in Game 4 of the ALDS.| Andy Sonnanstine | ||
