Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button star in McLaren's newest "Tooned" film marking the 40-year anniversary of James Hunt's 1976 title win.
The animated short sees the two former world champions sitting on deckchairs in Monaco discussing how "our James" never won at Monaco. Button corrects Alonso and reveals Hunt was actually a spy for the British government.
The resulting flashback, full of James Bond references, sees Hunt peel off the Monaco track in the famous tunnel section, while trying to thwart Ferrari driver Laudfinger. The video ends with an agent Vandoorne calling Alonso and Button on mission of their own.

McLaren's twitter page also gave a nod to the popular Alonso meme from last year's Brazilian Grand Prix, where the Spaniard sat trackside on a deckchair after his car failed in qualifying.

The anniversary of the 1976 Japanese Grand Prix is on Monday.
