Kobe Paras, Robert Bolick, Paul Desiderio lead Gilas pool for 2023 FIBA World Cup

The future looks bright for Philippine basketball.

National team head coach Chot Reyes revealed on his official Twitter account on Friday, January 5 the names that will make up the Gilas Pilipinas pool for the FIBA World Cup in 2023.

Most of the players are currently playing college ball while some at the amateur level. The biggest names part of the 23-man pool are Kobe Paras, Robert Bolick and Paul Desiderio.

The others included are Jaymar Perez, Juan Gomez de Llano, Remy Martin, Matt Nieto, Thirdy Ravena, Jjay Alejandro, Kenneth Tuffin, Jeo Ambohot, Dwight Ramos, Joshua Sinclair, Arvin Tolentino, Javee Mocon, Kai Sotto, Isaac Go, Abu Tratter, AJ Edu, Carl Tamayo, Kenmark Carino Will Gozum and Troy Rike.

Reyes, however, stressed that the list is "by no means final."

The Philippines, along with Japan and Indonesia, own the hosting rights of the 2023 FIBA World Cup where 32 nations will compete for the Naismith Trophy.
