Former Italy captain and 1987 RWC team coach Marco Bollesan has been named national squad manager for the Italian Tour to the South Pacific scheduled from June 24 to July 20.
Bollesan, 57, won 47 caps for Italy between 1963 and 1975 and coached
the national squad from November 1985 until April 1988 with a record of
seven wins, one draw and eleven defeats. Bollesan has only been given a
temporary post for the oncoming tour because the Italian Federation
Board's term of office expires at the end of the year and the future
manager will have to be appointed by the new board.
