Steve Austin talks about 'Redneck Island'

Wrestling legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returns tonight for the second season of "Redneck Island" on CMT.

About 14 competitors ranging in age from 23 to 47 will be put through a series of mental and physical challenges in pursuit of $100,000. The 10-week show was taped in Mexico in September.

Austin, who has been wrestling for more than 20 years, said being a redneck is a badge of honor.

"I am absolutely a redneck," said Austin, who was born in Victoria, Texas. "My version of a redneck is someone who enjoys the outdoors and the simple things in life."

Jennifer Kercher of Lakeland, Fla., won in the first season, which had jigsaw puzzles, paintball and knowledge quizzes.

"I told these contestants that if it were me competing, they should just go home, because I would have beaten them," Austin said. "I'm extremely competitive. It's part of my DNA code."
