Player of the Match

Thank you for your company. On behalf of Andrew McGlashan, this is Rvel Zahid signing off. Have a great weekend!

Arafat Minhas, Player of the Series: I'm super happy with my performance and the team's performance as well. We'll continue this momentum going forward. I think it's all about mindset. If you have a positive mindset, the results are positive. Our preparation for this series was very good and we benefited from that. (PSL) is a good platform to prepare well and gain confidence. I think the performances I gave will boost my confidence further. I'll continue improving my skills and maintain good preparation for the upcoming events.

Josh Inglis, Australia Captain: A bit like the first game, I think we were just too many runs short. I thought the bowlers and the fielding group, in particular, made a great effort to put us in a position to potentially win the game, but it wasn't to be in the end. There have been some really good performances. We have some young and inexperienced guys in the dressing room so it's a great learning experience for them. I thought we made strides from game two and today we had an opportunity to be really ruthless and put our foot on the throat but we handed the game back to Pakistan. They're a very good side but there are plenty of positives to take away. We might get similar conditions in Bangladesh so we'll wait and see. It has been nice to experience different conditions here and put some plans in place. As I said, it's been a valuable experience for a lot of the guys.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan Captain & Player of the Match : Thanks to Allah. I think it was a complete team effort throughout the series. The conditions were tough for the batters but every run counted and the players put in a great effort. Whenever you're playing in your own conditions, you try to make the most of them. When we went to Australia and won the series there, the conditions suited fast bowling. I think our batters contributed well and throughout the series the bowlers consistently hit the right areas. Haris Rauf deserves a lot of credit; he had an excellent series. A couple of partnerships did develop for Australia during the series but our plan was to create as many dot balls as possible and build pressure. All of our bowlers executed their plans well and the credit goes to them. I will keep trying to do whatever I can to help my team improve, and God willing, I will continue to do so in the future

Lots of nerves, a tricky spinning surface and plenty of pressure. Pakistan needed one good partnership to get over the line and the composure shown by Shadab and Samad was exactly what the situation demanded. They absorbed the pressure, took their time and gradually edged closer to the target. Earlier, Australia folded for 157 after enduring a nightmare on this dervish of a spinning track. Apart from Inglis, nobody was able to withstand the challenge posed by Abrar, Shadab and Arafat. Shaheen was spectacular throughout, getting the ball to reverse and making life difficult for the batters. In reply, Maaz and Babar contributed 27 and 40 respectively but the innings then began to peter out. A cluster of quick wickets brought Australia right back into the contest as Kuhnemann produced a beauty to outfox Babar and finished with 3-38 while Matthew chipped in with one wicket as the spinners continued to dominate proceedings. In the end, calm heads and measured batting put the game to bed

Ghaffar: "Abdul Samad performed under pressure in PSL final and now along Shadab rescue Pakistan from a very difficult position on a extremely tough pitch Should be a huge moral booster for the young Samad ! "

Zampa to Shadab Khan, FOUR, Lovely flight wide of off, just landed a bit too short that gave Shadab enough time to play the glory shot; he clears mid-on and sends the ball racing away to the rope much to the delight of fans who are cheering for the home side. Pakistan win the series by 2-1
