9:29pm Liam Livingstone, losing Spirit skipper, is the Meerkat Match Hero after his all-round efforts: "A little disappointed. I thought it was a really good game of cricket to be honest… just a shame we fell short.
"It was a little bit up-and-down… it was one of those pitches where they were both par. But we got ourselves too far behind the run rate. A little bit rusty but hope we come out of this.
"We bowled some really good stuff in the middle. And yeah, we nearly chased it down. The stats don't necessarily favor chasing here at Lord's (Livingstone won the toss and opted to bowl first). It's a pretty good start so hopefully we can build on this."

His 2 for 14 with the ball had Spirit ahead at the halfway stage. Shame no one else supported him during his 69. That being said, he should have been seen off by Seifert on 21. Nevertheless, the Kiwi is on the winning side, with his 67 the true difference-maker
