11.50pm A strong comeback from Mumbai, placed second from bottom, to beat the team second from top. They batted very well, particularly in the slog overs, did not panic with the ball as Malinga and McClenaghan bowled accurate lines and struck at crucial times. But do not forget Sanju Samson's magnificent effort with the bat. He targeted the gaps, played all around the ground and unleashed audacious shots against a strong bowling line-up.

Shane Watson: Tonight would have been good to get the momentum back. When you are chasing, around 12 or more per over is always difficult and Malinga is a great death bowler. The way Samson played him, he batted incredibly, especially the last two balls of his over. You have to pick positives out of the game to make sure you win. A couple of things we need to get right and no reason why we can't.

Rohit Sharma: We're starting to peak our performance right now. Defending that score wasn't easy, but we put up a big score and it was good to see that being defended. When you start winning everything looks perfect. We were struggling to get the right balance earlier but we now know what each individual can do at what situation. We've got what we wanted. Rayudu was under pressure at the start of IPL but he delivered when the team needed him the most. When I was opening people wanted me to bat at No. 4, and now they want me to open [laughs]. It depends on the situation and what the team needs. We're open to changes but will stick to this line-up for some time.

Man of the Match Rayudu: I'd like to dedicate this innings to Mrs Sadhya, who was an employee at Trident and died due to breast cancer. I've been working really hard in the nets and trying to make the most of the opportunities. I'm trying to hold my shape and keep it going. The team's winning which is more than enough, doesn't matter where I bat. We were in the same situation last year and this year we have a better team. If the top order starts to fire we'll do well.

That's it from Wankhede, that's it from Friday as the two home teams won today. Join us again tomorrow as Saturday is a double-header too and we'll bring you all the action live right here. Until then, goodbye and good luck from Vishal D, along with Raju. Ciao!

Harshit: "RR lost it when they sent Nair ahead of Hooda and Binny, the men in better form."

Jay : "Dont no why Binny is in the team. . He should be replaced by a better all rounder abhishek nayar..."

Alok: "I think RR missed Faulkner today!"

Vikram: "Why Southee when RR had Theron!!"

Vinay Kumar to Binny, (no ball) 1 run, OUT, another full toss, in the air again and he's caught at long-on. This was definitely over the waist, and is called no-ball. Pollard doesn't realise that and throws the ball late, which makes Southee comes back for the second. But his throw is accurate and Vinay takes the bails off casually, catching Southee's bat short despite the dive. A no ball, a run, a run out

TG Southee run out 6 (5m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 120

Two sixes for the Super Over. Malinga goes from short third man to the bowler for some advice
