10.43pm So, everyone in Group C has won at least one game now. Just Italy versus West Indies to close it out. And just one more qualifying slot up for grabs. Will it be Pakistan or USA to progress to the Super Eight? Namibia hold the key to that one, in Colombo tomorrow. Join us then, but from Miller, Alan, Chandan and the team, good night!

Rohit Paudel: "This means a lot to me, my second World Cup as captain, and winning first game in last game of league stage was very important to us as a team. Dipendra led the way. After our game against England, they started booking tickets and supported us to the last game. To slow down and restrict them to 170, our death bowling was great. Focussed more on dot balls than taking wickets. This is not the way we wanted to play but with Dipendra and Gulshan, they won the game for us. Dipendra deserves MoM, he has great talent. We kept our nerves calm, bowlers and batters. We learned a lot from England game. To summarise this tournament, we wanted to play the way we did against England and Scotland. Italy was not the way we wanted to play. We will try to improve from here."

Richie Berrington: "The atmosphere was incredible, always knew it would be a tough game against Nepal, with the crowd behind them. But full credit to Airee, he's changed the momentum of the game. 170 was competitive, they bowled extremely well but we left a few out there. Took one innings to change the game and get the result for Nepal. We've shown once again we can compete at this level, but there's some frustration there. We could have won a few more, but a lot to take forward as a team. Our preparation was very different to other teams but we embraced that. Would have liked a few more wins but pleased with some of the performances. It's been great that this has been a 20-team World Cup, shows more exposure and all these teams will only get stronger. Got to take every opportunity in front of us."

The Player of the Match is Dipendra Singh Airee for his unbeaten 50 from 23 balls. "Thanks to the fans, in the last World Cup we didn't win a single match so very important for us. One of the best innings. England match was learning experience, this is good for us."

10.20pm What a contest! Dead-rubber? Not to this set of players and fans! Nepal are ecstatic, Scotland are gutted. They threw everything at this game, and the ebbs and flows were astonishing. Jones' 71 from 45 set Scotland up for a massive total, only for Sompal Kami's slower balls to change the game... and then, after Bhurtel's flying start to the chase, Michael Leask's three cheap wickets put Scotland back in command. But Dipendra Singh Airee's onslaught hauled Nepal back into the box seat, as he and Gulshan Jha sealed it with four balls to spare!

Nepal are taking a lap of honour around the Wankhede. They've had a wild tournament... from the near-high of that near-miss against England, to their walloping by Italy. And now to this proud moment for their nation!

Saurav: "Definitely not a tournament result we wanted but what we needed. Game to remember for ages against England. And against Italy as well for different reasons. Finished it off on a high against Scotland. A lot to learn and move forward. "

Romeo: "Cricinfo's techical glitch before the start of this match regarding 'who will win' category was not a glitch! Cricinfo knew something!"

Wheal to Gulsan Jha, FOUR, Goes for his yorker again, but that's lovely timing into the gap at deep midwicket! Munsey flings himself desperately to intercept the ball... but he's touching the rope! He hurt himself in the process, but his feet couldn't stay in play. Nepal win at the T20 World Cup for the first time in 12 years!

Kasinathan: "One of the best matches of this World cup"

Wheal to Airee, 1 run, full once more, opens the face to the fourth-stump line, patted out to deep point. Airee has fifty, but that's not the story right now... a punch of gloves in acknowledgement all the same

Wheal to finish... one shot will do it... but so will five singles... who's got the coolest head out there?

Currie to Airee, 1 run, goes for the yorker again, Airee slides deep into his crease, looking for the ramp, he dinks it just short of short backward square, but takes the single... Five needed from six!

1
Currie to Gulsan Jha, 1 run, brave bowling, nailing his yorker, inswinging onto Gulshan's boot. Played to mid-on, but Airre loses his footing as they turn for the second

What can Currie leave for the final over?

Currie to Airee, 1 run, Currie is hitting his length well, late outswing on the full length. Met on the low full toss with a compact push to cover

Currie to Gulsan Jha, 1 run, another inswinging yorker... well bowled. Gulshan meets it on the full, a toe-ended drive to mid-on... they want the second but no need for panic from the Cardiac kids!

Wheal to Airee, 2 runs, short, swishes his pull out to deep midwicket, good scampering first run to get back for the second

Wheal to Gulsan Jha, no run, a wipe across the width from back of a length, no contact... just as well from Scotland's perspective. That could have skimmed away through deep third

Right, crunch time. Remember these two like a close finish. Two wickets, one run and one wicket in recent encounters!

Udam: "Nepal don't need to climb a mountain because geographically they are on the top, maybe a leap of faith by going bang bang like airee"

Currie to Airee, FOUR, slashed away through deep third! Airee seizes on the width on the full length...staying leg-sided and slicing it away expertly! 11 off the over, and that's ahead of the remaining rate

Currie to Gulsan Jha, 1 leg bye, inswinger, on the pads, but the deflection saves the wide. Gulshan was swinging hard, any connection and that would have travelled

Currie to Gulsan Jha, no run, inswinging yorker! Tremendous bowling, and Gulshan can only stab his bat down late to save his stumps from being spread-eagled. Vital dot
